This yard was made for a freeform pool. The natural curves complement the mature trees, creating a backyard that feels peaceful and tucked away. We’ve always loved how freeform pools blend into the landscape with their soft, flowing edges. For this project, we used silver travertine for the pool deck. Its soft gray tones blend beautifully with the landscape, it stays comfortable underfoot during Charleston’s summers, and its naturally slip-resistant surface give the homeowners added peace of mind when their grandchildren come over to swim.
